Ok, I was about to buy the parts for a rig before noticing I'd chosen a microATX mobo: Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2, Intel P55 Express, S1156, DDR3 2200, SATA 3Gb/s, SATA RAID, ATX for these components:

Intel Core i5 750, s1156, Lynnfield, Quad Core
1GB XFX HD 5850
650W Corsair CMPSU-650TX
4GB (2x2GB) Corsair TwinX XMS3, DDR3 PC3-10666 (1333) CAS 9-9-9-24

and this case: Coolermaster CM-690 V2 Dominator Black Midi Tower Case

Then I read around a little about microATX mobos and came across a post saying they aren't suitable for gaming. Is that right? If so, could someone perhaps kindly suggest a decent mobo from http://www.scan.co.uk/ that would complement this rig nicely? I really don't know what I'm looking out for when choosing motherboards. This rig will be used primarily, if not exlusively, for gaming.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply but I'm not going to be changing my processor choice. I just need someone to suggest which of the non-microATX ones available will be a decent mobo.

In the end I might just go with any Asus or Gigabyte mobo that isn't microATX and is around the same price.

But I've yet to find out if my original choice for a mobo would be bad for a gaming rig since my budget isn't all that flexible.
