Weird prime95 results

Hi all. I'm OC'ing my Q9550 and am pretty much done, just doing the last test before I'm satisfied. Checking the results just now on prime95 Blend I notice one core has fallen behind the others, the other three have done 664 test and this one only 656. It fell behind approx 9 tests. Why would it do this?

Haven't run Prime95 in a while. Is it possible that you have other programs running at the same time? Maybe the 1 core is taking care of the other programs?

I was wondering about that. The OS is running of course, and other installed programs that always run, and of course the EasyTune utility to monitor temps. It was a 24 hour test so maybe it just slowly fell behind because it was running all that? I hope so,

prime 95 uses free resources so what’s going on is your cores are being used at the same time you’re running your tests, so the cores that are free of tasks (other than prime 95) will finish sooner than the cores being used for tasks other than prime 95
