  5. seeing as ATI is going to 5xxx series within weeks ... it would be a little absurd to think they will release anything new for 4xxx series without us knowing.... in any case it was already was confirmed by ati they wont be making 4890x2 when 4890 first came out

Actually, I saw a few articles talking about a dual 4890x2 chip, so it was possible, but now it is unrealistic of course.

I am currently selling my 48701GB and my X2, to get ready for the ATI 5XXX series, which I will probably buy their two high end cards for crossfire, depending on wattage usage of course.
  8. When i installed CAT 9.8 my windows index score came down from 7.1 to 6.0,ATI released a hotfix too and here is the link:
    http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/Hotfixfor3DGames.aspx

I didn't test it with games but it fixed the score for me (It's not important but i wanted u to know :) )
  9. Must be that M$/ATI collaboation with W7 coming out....
  10. I wonder if these drivers are really meant for the 5XXX cards. Since AMD learned their lesson last time with having crappy/no driver support at lunch. These could be a sort of 'beta' driver to make sure they are rock solid for the new cards.
