Does the flash drive work on another computer? If it does, try scanning it for viruses and scan it for file system errors.

Does it crash when the drive tries to auto-run? If so, hold down the left shift key before you plug in the drive and keep it down until the drive becomes available. Then scan it for viruses and for file system errors.

Thank you for the reply! It does work on other computers just fine. I scanned it and didn't find anything. When I held down the shift key and plugged it in, it did the same thing...instant blue screen. I do want to tell you that this trouble began when I reloaded my system. I first noticed it when I turned on my "Veg-N-Rtv device...(it allows me to watch TV on my computer) it also goes thru USB. I have disconnected it since but flash drives don't seem to work either now. What do you think?

This is usually a device driver issue. Are there any issues shown in the device manager?
