I'm looking to get a mid tower that can hold up to 290 mm (about 11.4 inch) graphics cards but am afraid that the next gen will get longer than that. Are my fears reasonable? I would think that making cards that only full tower users can carry would be a stupid business move. The gtx 295 is 10.5 inches and many cases can barely hold it.
Your thoughts? Are my fears well founded?

Ati and Nvidia already have each other battling for each others market share. They can't afford to lessen their own market share by making cards that only fit in certain cases.
The high end card buyers will most likely have a mid to full size case, therefore the card manufactures will/should make their cards fit.
