I tested alot of voltages..at this moment i am cooling the room down to 22Celsius, hasnt reached that temp yet, the strange thing is this...
At 30 Celsius room temp
At 4.0Ghz, and 1.275V on vcore i have a 60celsius idle 88+@prime95
At 4.0Ghz, and 1.300V i get same thing ...
At 2.66Ghz and undervoltage 1.175 i have 55celsius...and 82ish@prime95
Now..lets see what happens at 22Celsius ambient temperature
At 4,0Ghz and 1.300v on vcore i am at 53Celsius!!! and...again..88@prime95stable
At 4,0Ghz and 1.275 on vcore i am at 53 celsius...and again..88@prime95stable...
at 4,0Ghz and 1.250 on vcore, windows 7 64b crashed at logging in.
the tests are done also with 2 different bios firmwares...
could it be that my H50 corsair watercool has lost , say, liquid..evaporated? When i first installed H50 the performance was awesome.
Cpu at 4.0Ghz and 1.275vcore was idling at 44celsius and peaking at prime95 at 75 stable for hours. Now is not the case. nothing has changed since last year, in addition i added the extra fan on the H50 (push pull configuration _) and things were even more lower at high end cpu stress.
While this summer was nearing i decided to put i7 to stock speed 2.66ghz and i saved the bios settings . I loaded them 1-2 weeks ago and i have these issues, airconditioned at 22Celsius or not, at 35... the 100% stress test goes 90celsius....
So it seems to me that performance has deteriorated...i think i will post at corsair support...
Ok...What's my cpu's REAL TEMPERATURE? I was using core temp and now i see this hwinfo and shows this ITE IT8720F thing and shows 20 celsius less..The photo you see is at 4.0Ghz with 1.250Vcore and LLC on. Maybe this ITE shows the real temp? cpu thermal sensor says 94 but..i dont get any beeps from the motherboard ( i set up an alarm at 90Celsius)
Stange thing No2. The idle temperatures are almost the same...5Celsius difference..I will cry, can't understand what is going on, i placed my finger at the H50, it isnt 90celsius hot definitely...
this is my airflow..
