Does the asus crosshair 3 formula support am3 opterons?

does the asus crosshair 3 formula support or should i say work with opterons of the am3 variety, i found a quad opty 1381 and was wondering, asus website doesnt mention it but neither did the rampage extreme x48 with xeons, all i have used since i got it is xeons, and it shows in the bios and under windows, and i havent even upgraded the bios

Contact to ASUS and ask thy. But, let me ask your something. Why do you want pay $ 195.99 in a 2.5GHz processor, if with the same prices you can get the 965 at 3.4GHz and the same 6MB cache L3?
