CD Drive Icon is missing:-/

my pc booting take verymuch time then my dvd drive icon is missing there for i cant formate the pc pls help.

What are your system specs, especially RAM ?
That is probably a good thing, the CD icon is missing.
Maybe you do not have to reformat.

Are you still able to boot ? If so, boot into safe mode.
Check your hard drive for errors.
bring up disk management and see what is reported on your CD Drive.
(place some type of media in drive)
Run antivirus antimalware scans on your hard drive.
use msconfig to disable all 3rd party APPS from startup, then reboot normal.
