Please provide (if possible) the name of program, what it tests, and perhaps a link(s) to it if possible. Thanks! If needed, I will update this post to include new replies.

Update:
1) Prime95- stresses the CPU to the max. Run a torture test, small FFTs to stress CPU, blend test to stress CPU and RAM. Btw, get the correct version; I linked to the 32-bit, 64-bit link is on that page.

2) Memtest86- self explanatory.

3) CPUZ - Good for verifying CPU and RAM operates at intended speeds/features.

^Thanks, my first post updated.

More replies appreciated (PSU, 3dmark for graphics - which version is better than which version?, etc.) and any tests. Hopefully this can be a good guide for not only me, but other people with new rigs waiting to be (stress) tested.

+1 for memtest, prime95, and cpu-z.

I prefer CoreTemp for cpu temps.

Perhaps furmark for GPU's?

+1 for Furmark, if you want stability testing.

3DMark06 and Vantage are decent benchmarks that can give overall system performance comparative to other systems.

There is also Speedfanfor temp monitoring
