hello there.
my Single slot PNY nvidia 9800GT GPU gets really hot without OC (60*C)
so i would like a new fan for it, since thats what i think is making my PC SOO hot when playing games like Crysis WH. it gets so hot i can blow dry my Hair in 20 seconds with the heat of the Exhaust fan.
i hear that a thermalright hf one i good, but i don't know if it would fit, so thats why i'm asking now.
this Artic cooling one has caught my eye aswell: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/150984#

i'm 14 years old, and have an nvidia 9800GT and a AMD athlon 2.7GHz black edition too my self.

i also want to know that, if a Dual my GPU on SLI, would i get the same performance as a Nvidia GTS 250?

Final question. (a little off topic). i hold all my components in a jeantech aqua case, and i'm worried about dust. sinces it's got a large fan in the front, with no Dust filters, dust just leaks in. i would like to know the best PC case (full ATX) for under 80 quid (i'm 14, i'm not made of money).

Cheers for some of your time.

60c is fine. a quick google search indicated these cards can do 85 all day. Mine hits over 110c with fah when the fan starts acting up due to higher rpm. that's why I'm here btw, looking for a good replacement fan. 60c is great though, newer gpu chips can run much hotter than cpus. My idle is over 60 and I have good ventilation.
can't help with your dust issues. maybe put a piece of foam in there? or a small furnace screen lol? another exhaust fan or two, especially near the high-wattage gpu might help. it's not too difficult to cut your own fan holes with a dremel or similar tool. cheers

According to nvidia max temp for the 9800gt is 105C. If you SLI 9800GT you get performance on level with GTX260

ouch. only a gtx 260? 9800gt is one of the most cost-effective models for folding, 260's results weren't much higher. card cost and electrical consumption were also non-rewarding. that's why I took the 9800gt. Not trying to thread-hijack, I just noticed this is an older one... any suggestions for fan on a year old 9800gt? google is surprisingly unhelpful. I have quality fan for ati 1900 dormant
