i just installed a powercolor hd 4670 512 mo video card and ive got problems with card ever since. i get the vpu error reset every time i play a hd movie and sometimes with regular divx. i also get huge spike while playing stalker and laggy gameplay even in low res low details. i didnt test any other games as

ive got a intel core 2 duo 2.2ghz e4500
asrock 4core dualsata2 motherboard http://www.asrock.com/MB/overview.asp?Model=4CoreDual-SATA2
powercolor hd 4670 512 mo pci-e
2 ghz ram pc2 5300
350w psu
and stock cooling

no overclocking at all
just formated windows after installing the new video card
before with geforce 4400ti 128mo everything was running fine (hd video in 720p)
installed video card driver from cd and from ati site and still same problem...
maybe its just a dumb thing but i cant figure it out with my basic knowledge
maybe its the motherboard 4x pci-e slot instead of 16
thanks for your help and just tell me if you need more info

I seem to recall there being a compatability issue with this boards VIA chipset and the later Radeon cards and that a BIOS flash was required to solve it.
Check the manufacturers site here for the BIOS updates:

Before you do so, could you explain "huger spike"? In temperature or clockspeed?
Also post details of the PSU: Wattage and output on the +12v line or lines.

thanks coozie7 , tried bios update 2.16 (support 46#0 cards)
looks like everything is wrking now... at least no vpu error and no more spikes ( big graphic triangles forms appearing out of nowhere in a game )

thanks you gave me the confidence to try the bios update
now i think my small lagging in stalker is due to my e4500 2.2ghz.... but its minimal compared to yesterday
