I dunno if it's asked a lot but very soon I'm going to attempt to build my own PC and I was wondering should I buy the dual core E7600 or Q8400.

I can't really buy anything else...I'm on a super strict budget.

Here's links to em both:

E7600: http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/29562 [...] 6-ghz.html
Q8400: http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/27725 [...] 66-gh.html

I'll be doing a bit of mainstream gaming. The only games I think that are optimized for quad core that I'll be playing are Arma II and GTA IV. I'm really not sure...any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you have a strict budget go AMD not intel.

ATI 4850 oc'd 680/1158 with aftermarket Zalman
Asus P5Q Pro mobo
2 gigs 800 Corsair ram @ 4-4-4-12

I don't want AMD though and yeah I could possibly overclock because I might be buying a nice heatsink and a few case fans.
