Hi,

I would be grateful if someone could help with a discussion in the office.

On modern day multi processor motherboads used on servers such as HP, IBM, is memory shared between the processors.

i.e if I have 16 GB of RAM then it is share or does 8GB get allocated to eadh processor

Any official linsk would be handy

Thanks

If by "modern days" you mean the Core i7, i5, i3, Am3, Am2+, Am2
THEN
each Cpu is linked directly to its Ram, and I don't see any way that they would share it.

Server Cpu have quick links between the Cpu but certainly not as fast as Ram, so you should better have applications that fit in the Ram of one Cpu AND ans Os aware of such optimization (called Smp at Microsoft).
