USB Mouse not working vista

My mouse stopped working... I replace it with 2 other mice I have... none work. I have an optical mouse. I have a relatively new computer, a 3.17 ghz duo processor and Vista Ultimate. (Ultimate problem) My keyboard is also a USB2 device, and it works.

well um...
did u ask when u bought it about compatibility with your OS.
Because it could be that your mouse is not compatible with your OS...
though the keyboard is working??
I'll look into it and give u some solutions
