Can i overclock Cpu as well as Gpu?

Hello,
I have Amd phenom ii x6 1055t 3.5ghz OC
and Ati 5770 1gb(not OC)
I have cooler master 500watt
Asus M4A78LT-M
2x2GB Kingston DDR3 Ram

I overclocked cpu 2.8 to 3.5
and now i want to overclock Gpu
So,is this possible overclocking cpu at a time gpu
is this safe?
actually i know how to overclock but i dont know IS this safe?
so please rply........

Hello Again!!!
ya, its 500watt extreme power plus
My gpu memory clock rate is 1200mhz
and Core clock is 850mhz
so
i want to increase default clocking speed to 50mhz

you can overclock both, just keep testing them for stability as I wouldn't worry so much about power,, the CPU you have will far outstrip the power increase required from the GPU as the 5770 is not a power hungry card...
 
I'm sorry for this time, I does not recommend overclock GPU for safely all hardware. Your psu poor efficiensi arround 72-77%, and real crap 460 labelled 500W.

I think this time if youwant oc gpu for safely, you need good PSU from brand like antec,corsair, xfx, ocz,
Not more than a year, first damage HDD , VGA , motherboard . Just suggestion

I calculate power of all hardware in my pc that is maximum usage 324watt

He has a HD 6770, and the PSU has 30A on it, a CX430 can easily power a HD 6850, and that has 28A on it, a HD 6770 uses quite a bit less power than a HD 6850, his PSU will be fine as long as he doesn't push the voltages too high.

ya,, you don't need much more than 400 watts unless you have really high end card (it will require connections you won't find on a 400 watt PS anyways) or multiple cards - which a 400 watt PS won't have enough connections for.
