Cannot download software, drive is missing

Hello, My D:/ Drive is missing and I cannot load any software to my system. I try and get the message, no netword found. I have a network because I have a router hooked up that allows me to use my laptop and that is connected to the desktop. I have re-run the drivers and that is no help either. Does anyone know what to do?

The D drive and network issue should not be related.

Need exactly are you trying to do, exact error messages, when did this start? Loading software as in download it from the internet? From a network drive? Just installing it?
