New system setup/partition questions

Last response: in Storage

I want to reinstall Windows 7. I have four hard drives on the computer. When I try to load the disk, it only shows d,e & f drives - not c. When I start to try load on drive d, a message appears which says ' setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the setup log files for more information. What do I do?

Unplug all but the drive you want to install Win7 onto. Make sure the drive shows up in the bios. Use custom install so that you can create/delete partitions as needed.

After the installation, you can hook up your remaining drives.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.
