My friend have recently brought 500W Corsair PSU with two, 6-pin connectors while his PSU has only 1 :o

Now what???

Can he just like purchase another cheap PSU with one 6 Pin Connector and connect to other connector of PSU ??

OR

Will he be able to run 6870 with one 6 pin connector?

Alright mate!

I did the same thing, overlooked the PSU and had to halt my pc build. My advice would be to buy a new PSU with higher wattage for a start necause I think the ATI recommendation is 750w. I have the same card and it uses abit more juice than some older cards like my old 5770.

he could sell the 6870 and get a 6850 then overclock it to a 6870's power . 6850's reach high clock speeds

He can use a PCIe - Molex adapter and draw power from 4pin Molex Connectors.
