Are these a good match?
EVGA X58 SLI LE Motherboard - 230
Intel Core i7 920 Processor BX80601920 280

Also, which memory would be better? The prices are close. Mainly going to be used for gaming.
OCZ Gold Tri Channel 6GB PC16000 DDR3 2000MHz Memory - 3x2048MB
OCZ Platinum Tri Channel 6GB PC12800 DDR3 Memory - 1600MHz, 6144MB (3 x 2048)

Thanks for any info!

Do you have a microcenter nearby? You can get an i7 for 200 there, make sure to get D0 stepping if you do. I would suggest the 1600MHz ram because you wont need 2000MHz ram and the platinums have better timings than the golds which is what matters most.

Don't forget to check the combo deals on the i7 CPU. I, personally, would pick an Asus or Gigabyte motherboard, but the EVGA ones are OK too.

+1 to the Platinum DDR3 1600 CAS 7 RAM.

I built a rig using both the 920 and the EVGA LE and could not believe how stable it was compared to my old P6T, yea there are better overclocking X58 boards out... but for the price you can't go wrong....

I am looking at this board as well. Does it support Crossfire as well as SLI? Or will there possibly be a BIOS update to use Crossfire?
