New Vertex 3, strange SMART values - broken?

I installed a new Vertex 3 240 GB yesterday, and I have got some strange effects afterwards, involving a Windows 7 hangup. The operating system is on a traditional drive, this was just added as a data disk.

When using DiskCheckup it reported both very high temperatures (128 C), could that be possible or is it a misread?

It also shows lots of read errors and a predicted failure in a few hours. See screenshot below.

What to make of this? Is Diskcheckup and SMART usable on SSD?

I would recommend using HWMonitor to verify your temps. I don't think a SSD could reach 128C :D

As for the SMART data, I would recommend using the OCZ Toolbox to check that information (If you are running Intel RST 10, put it into Windows 7 compatibility mode and it'll work).

I do also think it would burn earlier than 128C, however I did already check HWMonitor and it reports the same.. I suspect some misreading.

Thanks, I will check it out.
