Hey everyone, i decided to build a new system and i havent kept up with the newest tech in past few yrs. The last system i built was when P3 were out =[
I tried to soak up as much knowledge from this wonderful site but i couldnt help but to ask you pro's for some help
The link below is the system im thinking is good. For the price im paying is this good? Im wondering are there better name brands out there? Would that power supply be good enough? I dont plan on overclocking much past 3.6 would i need a liquid cooling system? My fear is spending so much and not get the performance i need or want. All i plan on doing is gaming and stream/record videos. Since i am in no rush and money is not TO MUCH of an issue should i wait for anything thats coming out in the near future?
Please use the template at the top, that build is all wrong, you are using a 1000watt PSU for when you could use a 750, 12GB of ram when you only need 6, and depending on your resolution you likely dont need 2 GTX260 anyway
The links aren't working, but at least it's slow at work so I copied and pasted the URL's so I could get an idea of what components you're talking about. What is the budget for this build? You should really follow the format in the "How to ask for new build advice" sticky at the top of the forum.
Your component choice is WAY overkill for your intended use. 12GB of RAM is rarely useful unless you're into professional video editing or similar tasks. 6GB is plenty for home use.
It's also usually a better idea to get one good GPU instead of dual GPU's right off the bat. That will leave you with an upgrade path.
You don't need a 1000W PSU. A quality 750W - 850W PSU is plenty for this system.
