Questions about 9800gt green

9800gt green requires 75watts and pcie 2.0 can already supply all the 75watts it needs therefore, it doesnt need a 6-pin power connector. But my motherboard is a gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2C, and it's not a pcie 2.0, so can it support the 9800gt green? also, can someone give me links to benchmarks of this green version compared to the original version and EVGA's 9600gt ssc aero. tried googling it but cant find any.. thanks a lot.

looking at this chart, i assume that the 9600gt ssc beats the 9800gt green because the difference of the 96gtssc and vanilla 88gt is only 1% in favor of the 88gt. 88gt = 98gt and take note that the vanilla is clocked faster by 50mhz than the green. so, probably that 50mhz would translate into 1% IN FAVOR to the 9600gt ssc?

PCI-e 1.0 & 1.1 slots supply 75w of power, PCI-e 2.0 provides the same amount of power but has a larger bandwidth the upcoming PCI-e 3.0 will provide more power than 1.0,1.1 & 2.0.

Here's a review of the HD4830 Green and there are graphs that compare the performance with the 9800gt green. It's in Japanese but I'm sure you can look at the graphs and figure it out.
