Is it possible to run a p c and a laptop of one router

ok my son has a laptop and he is running windows 7 he is wireless, i have a hp running xp and i am hardwired .. i have connected ... phone line (dsl) to modem usb from modem to router a usb from router to p.c ... son can connect to the internet on laptop (wireless) but i cannot connect to internet on p.c( hardwire /landline) whats going on ?

You will need to get the drivers for the USB MODEM and install them to your computer. You should be able to get them from your internet provider. Or, if they are Arris drivers, you can download them here, just select them for your router model#. We just had to do that for my brother's USB MODEM.
