So I was digging around in my Dell Dimension 8300 PC preparing to install a wireless PCI adapter (which is not recognizing my router, but that is for another thread) and I saw this card connected to the motherboard that looks a little like this (apologies for the poor quality):
It has two phone jack inputs, I suppose for some sort of fax/dial-up modem connection, my question is do I need this? It's just sitting there and when I removed it there was no effect on how the computer ran.
