ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: My current gaming setup is an AMD 64 x2 dual core 4800+ with a nVidia 7950gt I'm looking to get a significant upgrade from this system as I feel it's becoming outdated. I was just browsing newegg and threw together a system real quick not paying attention to much as I feel I've lost touch with the latest hardware available, so I'm open to suggestions where I could get more bang for my buck by swapping out some parts.

This setup is putting the total at $1,282.43. One note is that heat is a pretty big concern of mine since my apartment is very small and is typically pretty warm, so cooling cant be sacrificed (I don't care about how hot it makes my apartment just want to keep my components cool). I appreciate any comments and suggestions you guys have to offer especially some ideas where I could cut costs while still maintaining quality.

+1 ^ on Yoosty's Recommended parts.

Yoosty's looks good, but I would go with the 750TX PSU, there is an article somewhere on Tom's about modulars that doesn't look pleasing, and the TX is the same wattage, but ~50$ cheaper. With an Antec 1200, there will be plenty of space to stash unused cables.

One question, with video cards is the memory not as important. I see the card you suggested me get instead has less memory but higher clock speeds. (896MB vs 1792MB)

EDIT: I did a little research and found a good article that answered my own question. Here's the link just in case anyone was curious. http://www.guru3d.com/article/evga [...] -review/21
