Hi, I'm searching for a new video card, wondering which of these cards would be better in terms of performance.

Powercolor PCS+ 4890 1GB

MSI GTX 275 OC 896MB Twinfrozr

I can't order from newegg since I don't live anywhere near the states but I can get both cards for the same price so the price difference is not a concern. Anyone has any first hand experience with either card? Please share :D

P.S. Won't mind knowing bout temps and power consumption too!

Go for the 4890.
Faster than the GTX 275.

80-90ºC is average
115ºC is threshhold
127ºC burnout

Some cards report 100ºC as threshold in Rivatuner, such as 8800GT.

hmm but both cards here are overclocked, so would the 4890 still be faster than the GTX 275?

stock vs. stock, both cards are the same. but the 4890 has more overclocking headroom. when oc'ed to the max, the 4890 is equal or greater than the gtx285. (check out sapphire's 4890 atomic)

untrue the GTX275 and even the GTX260 lighting form MSI wastes the 4890!!
