Hello community

I have been reading and have had some experience with basic o.c., however I'm kinda hesitant to o.c. my system. Here are my specs:

$400 SYSTEM

AMD PHENOM 560 BE 3.3 GHZ
ASUS M4A88TD-M /USB
PATRIOT G2 GAMER SERIES
SAPPHIRE 6570 1GB DDR3 VIDEO CARD
CORSAIR CX430 V2
ZALMAN Z9 CASE
4- 120MM CASE FANS (2 TOP, 1 FRONT, 1 REAR)
1- 80MM CASE FAN (REAR)
1 DVD AND 1 CD DRIVE
WD 500 GB CAVIAR BLUE 7200rpm

I just need some advice on how to o.c. this small bad boy and if possible provide me with some steps in doing so.

Thanks

Solution
it sounds like at its current speed, the extra cores are not stable, you cold try downclocking it.

Up or down clock is done in the bios. there is a base multiplier you can increase on all black edition CPUs.

Just a stock amd. I'm planning on getting the CM Hyper 212+. I'm just wondering how far could I go with the stock cooling with all fans in system on max. My temps right now are 28 on idle and 30 to 40c on load (give or take). Do you think it would be safe to go to 3.8 ghz or should I wait and get a HSF with arctic 5?

I've tried core unlock and tried different cores, but I can't get it to load after express gate. Am I forgetting something or are the extra cores unstable?
Also, how would I go about o.c. to 3.6Ghz. Would I use a program or do it straight from the bios? If from the bios, could you provide me with directions if you have the time.

Thanks :)

Alright so I've downclocked the cpu multiplier up to 2.8, but still won't go past the xpres gate. I guess I've got just a dual core then, but I guess its more than enough.

@DelroyMonjo Thanks for the link. I think I might actually just overclock instead :)
