How does AMD knows if a CPU was overclock it on Warranty?

I dont have the box of my faulty 1090t so I hear without box I cant send it to AMD for Remplacement. So I wondering if my purchase receive help?

If the CPU malfunctions, which they can easily test and you can provide proof that you bought the boxed CPU you are returning, they might warranty it. If the CPU is damage from OC'ing they will not warranty it.

Fine but my question is, how they know if the Cpu was overclock it?

About Warranty and box, I talk with them and what I need for RMA is Serial number of the CPU. Serial location is in 2 places, On the box and On top of the chip. so I already have RMA approved.
but like I told you if they have a way to check for overclock cpu, my warranty will be avoid because I overclocked it several time

yes I know and I think you are right, but "beenthere" is saying the opposite. Either way thank you, Ill give you the best answer as soon as I get the new 1090t.

I am saying if the CPU is damaged from OC'ing, i.e. internally burnt... they can detect that vs. a CPU that has a normal computational malfunction.
