hunter, combo deal is solid, thanks for pointing that out.

better ram timings looks worth 5 bucks for sure too.

on the harddrive front im gonna stick w/ WD due to my previous history w/ company, they havent let me down yet, and i'm not too worried about a little speed dif since ill be using SSD for bootup/games/photoshop files.

Seeing that photoshop is one of your main things you are one of the few people who would likely benefit from 12GB of ram depending on how many files you manipulate at a time so you may want to consider that as a possible upgrade option.

As for the hard drive, i just figured i should throw the samsung out there so you were aware of all the options. As for the SSD, there have been a lot of new entries to the market, i would love to see toms do another SSD round up as im not sure if the mainstream intel one is still top dog but even if its not its still damn good.

sorry for hijacking into the thread, come on do you think that the storm scout is the best choice ?!!!!,noooooo it doesn't has that good cooling so you are going to spend more 30$ for the 2 scythe fans so the total for the case will be 130$,i would get the antec 900 with 3x120 mm and 1x 200 mm and save myself 30$ or get more 20 bucks out of my wallet and get the COOLER MASTER HAF 932 for 150$ which has an incredible cooling

saving money with combo deals is awesome.

as for the case i like the storm scout, think it looks good and although there are better cooling options available i'm willing to trade a bit of space saving for a few degrees. also hardware canucks says its fairly quiet, so there's another +
