Intel D865GSA mobo

I have a Intel D865GSA mobo, i bought a seagate barracuda sata hard drive and installed windows 7 it boots fine and everything i can login but when i move my mouse to the start icon and click it and try to go to control panel, documents or anything in the start menu the computer beeps once and freezes.

You need to check the device manager. Control panel>system>hardware>device manager and see if any devices aren't installed. They will have a mark next to them. Your board is old, and may not have all the windows 7 drivers available. Check Intel's website for any available 7 drivers and download them. Uninstall any devices that aren't loaded, reboot, and direct windows 7 to your Intel drivers.
