I expect your BIOS does not support the new processor.
Hopefully the new version does (you've made a massive jump in CPUs there btw).
You'll need to install the old processor again, run the BIOS update for your machine (its under Software and Downloads on their website for your machine), finish and restart. Let everything start up as normal, then shutdown properly. Put your new CPU back in and cross your fingers.
If the machine does not start after the 5.32 BIOS update, then your computer does not support your new CPU (I don't know if it does or does not, I couldn't find HP's CPU Support List, the chipset is capable, just depends on if they added it to the BIOS).
Adding CPU support was in the added features of the new BIOS too btw.

Choose your operating system (Vista 32 or Vista 64).
Then scroll down to "BIOS", and it's right there.
EDIT: when you flash the BIOS, this clears your settings anyway, you don't need to do both, just update it.
Also make sure your model number is KJ379AA and it maches the computer shown on the HP website (I got that model number for the link you posted), if it does not match then it might be the wrong BIOS, make sure to triple check! Close all applications, don't do anything else while it updates, if the machine crashes or reboots during the update, it will be rendered useless.

Everything HP says leads to it being compatible but I still am not getting this darn thing to work. I need to talk to HP and talk to their supervisors just because this is so frustrating. This is like throwing $300-400 in the toilet for something that does not ******* work. Even after updating the bios nothing works...

also letting you know that the longest it runs is about 2 minutes which is a good indicator of the processor being compatible and when I run diagnostics the first test is CPU and when that happens, it says the processor is Okay and passed diagnostics.
Oh it runs for 2 minutes?
I'd expect either heat or a power supply issue.
Make sure heatsink is on tightly and with even pressure.
Also are you using the new heatsink/fan? e.g. you didn't just throw the old one back on without re-applying thermal paste
Just looking for ideas.
