i am using laptop in sony (e series vpceb45fg) so i want to ask for related to xp drivers let informe are sent to my mail

OK, you have all the drivers, now do this:

Copy the drivers to a USB drive or burn them to a CD.
Install XP.
Install the chipset and network drivers so you can access the Internet.
Install Service Pack 3.
Install the rest of the drivers.
Install the latest video driver directly from ATI/AMD.
Install all other Windows updates.
Load your special software.
BACK UP THE SYSTEM.

There are no XP drivers from Sony for this laptop, the system probably will not work at all with XP or will be missing a lot of hardware functions.

Run XP in a virtual environment. If you want to try XP on that system anyway, make sure you can restore the PC back to Windows 7 if/when that fails.

i install the vmware workstation i install the xp in drive F
The installation went fine until I got to the part where it was trying to
actually install XP.

It gave me a message that said

"The file "asms" on WinXP Home Edition Service Pack 2 CD is needed"

and below it was the directory leading to

GLOBALROOT\DEVICE\CDROMO\1386

Now, I dont know where the hell the asms file is or what directory I should have to
type in. And I also dont ever remember coming across this problem before when I tried
to reinstall windows using this CD.once again same message coming.
