Domain not available windows XP

I got the error,

"The system cannot log you on now because the domain <Domain Name> is unavailable."

Is there any way I can fix this error without reinstalling Windows XP? ...My disc drive (DVD/CD drive) is not working so using a reinstall CD is not an option for me

If you have system restore monitoring turned on for your drive, you can run Windows System restore to a date prior to when error began to appear.

Start > Help & Support > Under pick a task, > Undo Changes.

Restore > Pick a date that is hilighted on the calendar. Reboot.
