Hey guys

I have Windows 7 Ultimate so i should be able to use up to 192GB of ram, but it shows this...

I have a EVGA X58 SLI3 Board.

Slot #1 RAM: 4 GB G.Skill Rip Jaws X (2133mhz) @ 1600mhz 8-9-8-24
Slot #2 RAM: 2GB A.Data 2000X (2000mhz) @ 1600mhz 8-9-8-24
Slot #3 RAM: 4 GB G.Skill Rip Jaws X (2133mhz) @ 1600mhz 8-9-8-24
Slot #4 RAM: 2GB A.Data 2000X (2000mhz) @ 1600mhz 8-9-8-24

I don't have the same type of ram. Whenever i use LinX it shows my maximum usable memory is @ 4000-5400mb.

update: took out Slot #2 & #4 which leaves me with 8GB, now it only shows 8GB with 4GB Usable.

What the heck is going on?

tried turning uncore frequency to 16X (3200mhz) & tried to run ram @ 1208 which did nothing...

More about : 12gb ram usable

- Seem like issue Ram kit , do you use dual channel KIT while your mobo had 3 channel , i think Ram cannot cooperation with other ... just get Ram Kit triple Channel
- In bios make sure "Memory remapping" is enabled
- Update bios to latest version
- Voltage for DRAM to company specs
other option : Reseated CPU and RAM

EVGA X58 SLi3 updated to the lastest Bios.

I took out the A-Data rams, so now only using 8GB of Ripjaw X on Dual Channel.

CPU-Z shows 8GB, but only 4gb usable.

reseated CPU & RAM, but nothing is brightening up.

Virtual Memory Pagefile is on 1024mb.

i don't believe i have a memory remapping option on the memory category in my bios.

Timing/Voltage is exact to specified.

nevermind i fixed it.

it was my fault.

Ram was in order of Gskill then Adata, then Gskill, then Adata.

Switched them to Gskill,GSkill,Adata,Adata.

Now it's showing 12GBs. Thanks for the help though :D
