Does anyone know if the Q6600 can handle a 4870x2 and another 4870 in crossfire? i was interested in seeing how much performance i would gain from another 4870 seeing how the 4870x2 almost bottlenecks with the q6600 alone. I do have the processor overclocked to 3.2ghz (400x8) to match the ram 1:1 ratio.
Another question would be, even if the Q6600 can handle the 4870s would crossfire even be worth it? Seeing the diminishing returns on graphics cards after 2 is a little disappointing. Any Opinions?

If OCed to 3.0Ghz or higher, then it should not have any issues.

Tri-Xfire is good. Anything above and the diminishing returns isn't worth it.

Get the 3rd 4870 if you can get it for a nice discount.
