Dvd drive

hello im trying to use my dvd drive and i hear it spinning and it seems everything is working fine.my dvd drive opens i put a disk in there and have tried several disks so its not the disk.then i go to mu computer and select which in my computer its dvd drive E.THEN WHEN I SELECT IT IT TELLS ME

sorry. it tells me PLEASE INSERT A DISK INTO DRIVE E.Which there is a disk in there so can somebody help me solve this.I use to have it working just about two weeks ago.i took the dvd drive out because i was fixing the cables but i put it back today and thats what it tells me
