Budget - $400

Uses - Wow while multitasking video, internet, etc on the other monitor

Parts not needed - case (antec 900), psu (585w enermax), monitor (26"hd + 19"lcd) keyboard/mouse, os

Watercooling/Overclocking: Not immediately, but if the parts I buy support it I may down the road.

I'm currently using an Nvidia Geforece 7600GT 256 mb video card, 2gb PC3200 ram, a 2.1GHz pentium 4 chip on an Asus A32N-SLI motherboard, so just about anything you can buy will be an upgrade.

I'd like to buy a new HDD, but that would be separate from the $400 budget.

I've spent a bunch of time researching an i7 build, so I know what's out there that is not EOL ... my financial situation may have changed and in case it has, I'd like to see what I can get with a considerably tighter budget.

Please advise a CPU, MoBo, GPU and RAM configuration that I can get all four components for a total of only $400... i know this if very limiting, but I want to see what I can get, and from my current components anything is an upgrade.

Thats a free Mobo!!!! It might be time to try and sell a kidney. I might just be able to make it happen.

This GPU is cheaper after rebeate and 1gb. Might help if you're running dual monitors.

Unfortunately by this morning the combo deal on the mobo/cpu is no longer available... can you suggest something similar?

Wow, the gutted all the mobo/cpu combos. This happens a couple times a year and you'll see those same type of combos repopulate in the next week or so. If you can wait, do.

Usually happens at end of the month and takes a few days to a week or so before new deals trickle in. I'll keep an eye open.
