APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within 2 weeks; havning the computer by 8/15/09 would work best for me.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Movies, Internet, Music, Photoshop

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: I have a list of parts that I had already acquired from earlier.

http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=204553587, I have 2 sets of these 4am so 4 1x GB sticks.

http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?Product..., I have this psu.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Any site will do.

PARTS PREFERENCES: I am looking mainly intel quad core processors, since my ram is DDR2. WOuld it be worth it to buy new ddr3 ram and get i7? Right now, I am most likely going to go with this sound card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
Graphic cards (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
I don't have a specifc cpu in mind, but I am looking to buy quad core.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 2650x1600. I haven't bought it yet, but I will most likely be buying a 30" ultrasharp from dell ( I would definitely like to hear opinions on this, whether it would be suitable for me or not. I am on my computer probably 9 hours a day, playing games, watching movies, etc. Does anyone prefer 2x 24's or 1x 30?
OVERCLOCKING : YES, SLI: YES

As of now, I plan to play most upcoming games. A few that come to mind, are left dead2, starcraft2, and diablo 3. As of now, the only parts I have that I listed earlier, is the ram, and psu. I am looking for thoughts on what mobos, cpu, gfx, and hd that would best suit me. My mind is pretty made up about the soundcard. Also this will be the first computer I have ever built, if anyone has articles or advice that will help me so that i don't mess it up putting it together, it would be greatly appreciated.

Misleading title, but I would like to spend around 500-600 for the extra parts needed. This is including the soundcard, that i wanted to buy.

Are you particularly attached to nVidia and an Intel quad? You can get a high end AMD quad with a DDR2 motherboard for less giving you more to put into your graphics.

HDD 640 WD Caviar Black

But if you are going to be gaming at 2650x1600 you are going to need to spend way more on graphics which means upping the budget, to stay near your budget i would suggest this card

but in reality you should get two of these
