Is this a new SATA drive that you installed? If so, it must be formatted (NTFS) first.

If the drive is indeed not detected in BIOS, they you can try

Change the cables
Change the SATA port
See of this is one of the annoying motherboards (I doubt it) that requires individual ports to be enabled in the BIOS

Is this a new drive, or one with data on it? Was it in that machine before?
