(i have a question on this, Are all Radeon HD 4890 the same? <<< (please answer this)
i mean i saw XFX radeon hd 4890, SAPPHIRE radeon hd 4890) and that really confuse me
- do they have any difference in performance? <<<<< (please answer this)

Memory 2-4 gb ram
Hard drive 320gb
Motherboard not sure (note: i'm not into OCing), (max $250) any suggestions?

not sure i'm planning to use a 32"samsung hd lcd tv series 6
(dun know the reso. cuz i haven't tried to use it) probably i'll be buying a 19" lcd
or just use my old samsung 1024 768 monitor for a while.


ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: quiet pc - ideal for 10-12 hrs/day
 
If you are looking for a gaming PC, then the i7 is not a viable choice...
It is overall an incredible CPU...but for gaming, doesnt offer much significant performance improvement over the Q9550 or the AMD X4 955 CPUs...
So you can save some cash in the Mobo + CPU + RAM department and invest in the graphics as the games rely more on them...

If you are OK with the above, then you can build a gaming PC for less than $1k, that can max out the current games @ the resolutions that you are planning...

all 4890's are not the same, some use a reference board design from ati and others use their own
4890's should all perform about the same, i would go for XFX because of their warranty

since you don't have a whole lot of programs that need tons of cpu power, a phenom II X4 would serve you fine
