PARTS NOT REQUIRED: processor , Keyboard , mouse , monitor , and possibly the Case

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg , performance-pcs

PARTS PREFERENCES: by brand or type : I want to stay with a Asus MB , Intel i7 920 processor , and zalman or anything better for cooling , Power supply would like to be Corsair , and lastly EVGA nvida GPU

My build is centered around a specific case , i hope it is a good one since i have not heard anything bad about it , but comments are welcome :)

Lian Li PC-60FW Aluminum

Secondly I want the intel i7 920 Cpu as show below

Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor $279.99

Please let me know if the modular is the way to go or if something is better , since for the start i am only running 1 video card , and maybe in future i will sli

, Please inform me what MB from Asus i should get and what Ram i should get " im looking for something that will run really good in the 6gig normal config" and what clock speed

Finally i have no idea what kind of EVGA nvidia GTX video card to get

also leaning for a 120 gig ssd since prices maybe between $300-400 for a nice one

I would do a 4870 or GTX 260 until you can get a monitor with a bigger resolution. 1280x1024 isn't worth dropping to much on a card. As for a modular psu it really depends on how clean you want your cable management to turn out. For an Asus motherboard I would go for the P6T Deluxe since you can get it in a combo on newegg. Mobo It's one of the best for overclocking.

Here is a very good combo deal, that you can check out...
It has all the high quality components...

And as for the case, Lian-Li's are high quality ones...So no problem with that...
But that case is cheaper in newegg...I think its the same case right?

But here is another very good case, that you can check out...

As for the SSD, wait for few has just launched new SSDs, that offer very good value and has very good performance...but currently the sales has been halted for a small BIOS fix...So the sales should resume within few days...They are the 34NM ones and are silver-colored...

As for CPU Cooler, here are a few options...
Scythe Mugen 2
Sunbeam CCTF 120MM + 1366 retention kit
Xig Dark Knight
These have very good performance for the money...

if the combo helps bring the price down on the dominator ram get them, other wise get some better ram for cheaper. OCZ Platinum 1600 ram is faster and is cheaper on newegg as well.
