I would do a 4870 or GTX 260 until you can get a monitor with a bigger resolution. 1280x1024 isn't worth dropping to much on a card. As for a modular psu it really depends on how clean you want your cable management to turn out. For an Asus motherboard I would go for the P6T Deluxe since you can get it in a combo on newegg. Mobo It's one of the best for overclocking.

+1 for gkay09 on the Combo and Intel SSD info.

Now if you have some extra money you might wish to check out this Lian Li case.
