Bad resolution

Hello everyone, I have a massive problem.

First my specs:
Nvidia 9800GT
Intel Q8200 2.33Ghz
Windows 7 32-Bit
4GB RAM (Value)

So my problem is that I changed my screen to 26INCH LG and resolution is horrible and I cant do my work on it. This TV screen model is 26LG3000 I dont use hdmi cable. Im using RGB cable to get my picture, would it help if I would start using HDMI? Coz letters really annoying me that letters are stained. I tried options in windows, anyone can help me?

and have you installed the drivers for the monitor if it had any?
