I am using two OS's i.e XP servicepack2 and RedHat Linux. My XP part attacked with virus where i am unable to delete virus, So i uninstalled mcafee antivirus so as to update with new antivirus. After uninstalling system asked to restart, after restarting i am unable to go to windows(PC will get restart if i go for windows) meanwhile Linux is working fine. Finally, I planned to format using bootable XP Cd, but i am not able to do it because after booting from cd i am getting message as "Os is detecting hardware". After that screen will get into black.
Please give me a solution for this.

Hi newcome and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

From you Redhat try to delete the Windows partiton, reboot the PC and boot from the installation disk.
