Hello community members.

I have just upgraded my cpu cooler and I'm planning to o.c., but the thing is that I'm not that sure where to start. If anyone has any tips or knows links or posts for o.c. setting of my cpu, sharing would be greatly appreciated :)

System
AMD phenom 560 BE @ 3.3 Ghz (stock)
Corsair a50 cooler
Corsair cx430v2
patriot g2 ram (2x4gb)
sapphire radeon hd 6570
z9 case
4x120mm fans (1 bottom front, 1 bottom, 1 top, 1 rear)
1x80mm fan (rear(bottom))

Temps. at idle- 25c
load- 30c

Thanks

good to start would be to bump up the multiplier one step at a time without increasing voltage to see how much you can get for free. You should do stability testing on each incremental step before trying to go higher.

alright. Ive heeard that its best just to touch the multi first, then if instability occurs, you can adjust the voltage, am i correct?

yes ... you right, also max temperature must below 70C when do stress test use prime95, ran Prime95 at 4hours small fft is enough to say stable.

alright so 4 hours small fft=stable
cant be above 70c
ill try this tomorrow thnx

oh btw would blend also work or is small fft more efficient?

blend very strong stable and efficieny , small fft need more time. for simple you can use Intelburtest : http://downloads.guru3d.com/IntelBurnTest-v2.3-download...

maybe totally at 20minuter (set 20times and memory at maximum) but your temperature will up. i alway's use IBT for fast stress , if stable, in the night, i do test again use prime95 overnigh .. i can sleep and rest , in the morning see result stable :D

alright i think ill do blend for an hour and see how each increament goes (ill probs go by 2 until 3.7 then by 1 since ive o.c. b4 with autotune and it was fine at 3.8)

Alright so I've reached 3.6 and planning to go further. For some reason though, my temps havent gone pase 30c since Ive o.c.. Is their something wrong?

Try the tutorial below. You original temps do not look proper. The temps most definitely should be rising when OC'ing. Try using "Core Temp" for accurate CPU temps.

Results vary as per chip and set-up..I have helped another person here on TH get his 555 BE stable to 4.0 GHz@1.55v stable it was a bit of a chore on his set-up as his RAM was the weak spot

Yeah I was using core temp. Right now at idle (im surfing the internet) it is at 24c, and when playing games its barely goes above 30c. Either the software is wrong or my airflow and cooling is pretty damn good (5 120 fans at 2000 rpm with a50 cooler)

Thanks for the input. I do have a problem though. After using prime95 and testing for several hours, I've only had the time to reach 3.6ghz. But the problem is not with the o.c. , its with the VPU recovery in CCC. Whenever I surf or use the pc the screen goes blank for like 3 sec. then comes back. I turned it off and it seems to solve the problem but I'm just wondering if the o.c. has something to do with it or maybe its just my monitor or gpu acting up on me.
