- Antec EarthWatts 500W - $70

power output on the two 12v rails is about 400W

- OCZ Fatal1ty OCZ550FTY 550W - $65, after rebate $40

has two 12v rails like the Antec EarthWatts, each at 25 amp, which is not bad. But the picture is a little blurry, I can't see the maximum wattage on the combined 12v rails. From what I can see, it seems to be around 450W.

- CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX 450W - $65, after rebate $50
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139003
has single 12v rail, which is a plus. Max output on the 12v is a respectable 396W (given its 450W max load). A downside is that has only a single PCI-e connector. Some video cards require 2 PCI-e connectors (but I guess a splitter can be used)

I have used Corsair and OCZ memories sticks, no idea that they are now making PSUs. Rebates are also questionable, as I almost never actually get the money.

System spec is as the following:

- P2 X3 720 BE
- Radeon 4870 512 MB
- 720gb 7200rpm SATA HDD
- 2x2gb DDR3
