but 750 won't be an overkill for CF 4890

Yeah looks quite solid. If you need to save some money you can get a case/psu combo with an antec case an antec TP-750

Reply to hunter315

you should be able to max out most games with that (except crysis and gta iv)

about maya im not so sure (never used it)

Reply to mindless728

the psu is overkill

The tx 650 will be plenty for that build

Also have a look in the Phenom memory scaling article on this site . You may be better off with 1333 MHz ram with lower latency like this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231200
which is low latency and low voltage

Reply to Outlander_04

i would get antec 900 instead of the 690 for 20$ more, also get a ram with better timings like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820231200 and get the 955 black edition instead of the 945 and i preferred western digital so i wold suggest getting western digital black 1 tb even though the samsung is a little faster i trust western digital more when it comes to harddrives

edit: outlander you were faster than me about suggesting the gskill, also if he have the intention to CF in the future the 750 won't be be overkill,if he isn't going to CF then the 650tx would be plenty

@ garretthenerd CF means using 2 same GPUs

thanks guys for your replys. Outlander ... Good call my friend. i was actually wondering about that. ill look into that for sure. if my supply is overkill that is less efficient right? or will it mess things up.

Thanks

no it won't mess things up even if you used 1200 watts powersupply because each part gets the power it needs and non more and i won't be less efficient too

edit:garretthenerd yea because it has unlocked multiplier i don't think that the more 300 mhz would make difference also look into combo deals sometimes you can save 80$ from combo deals :D

haha yes computersss im going to get another 4890 to cs in the future so will that be enough>?

Reply to garretthenerd

it will be more than enough but IMO not overkill as you are going to CF keep the 750 psu

edit: a little fast note make sure to get a 64-bit windows for it to utilize all the 4 gb of ram
