My current system is the Gateway 820GM, I changed the PSU, and Video card.

Right now i'm running a HD 4850 w/ 512mb of mem. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102770

and a 600 wat OCZ PSU..

I'm quite sure my bottleneck is going to be my CPU, i'll be posting my comp stats from what i got from everest. Its a P4 3GHZ with 2Gbs of ram.

Looking to buy most likely CPU, Mobo, and ram.

MY question:What can give me the most bang for my buck for the years? And how does my Vid card rank angainst other vid cards?

The 4850 is a good card, but not at that resolution. You should really be using a GTX275 or an HD4890 if you want to play things maxed out. So really you are looking to get a CPU, motherboard, RAM, case, and a new hard drive right?

Comes out to $444 before $30 MIR. I would suggest upgrading your video card sometime in the near future for the best gaming performance, but if you arent going to do it right away hold off until october or november.

Any 4850 will work, just be aware the crossfire demotes everything to the lowest common denominator, so if you get one with 1GB of ram OC'd to 650MHz it will be brought down to 512MB of ram and 625MHz so that it has two identical cards to work with, so its not worth buying a 1GB overclocked one since your other one wont be able to use it to its full potential. The only difference between the brands is the cooling solutions, everything else is identical.
