64 bit os performance compared with 32bit os

Hello
as i read blogs over internet issue with 32 bit os not able to utilize full 4gb of ram. now installing 64 bit os in my system will it affect my system performance because ?
!we all know even today majority of the applications are 32 bit . 64 bit era is still a future..

It won't affect performance, but make sure that all required drivers are available. If you own older devices like a printer or a desktop scanner, drivers for Windows 7 64-bit might not necessarily be available. Other than that, you can only benefit from the additional memory.
