I'm building my first system and just need to know if everything will work. I've been resurching for a few days and I think it will. Please let me know if there are any problems or cost saving opportunities. Thanks.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Agust - September. No rush

BUDGET RANGE: max at $2500, prefer $2000

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, Cadd, ArcGIS

Looks pretty good. With the GTX 275, max monitor resolution I'd go for gaming would be 1920x1200, but if you need larger 2560x1600 for cad, you will still be able to game, just notch it down from max settings.

Might want to spend the extra $15 and get a WD Caviar Black 640gb. Better numbers for performance.

Oh, and don't forget an optical drive.

Almost the same as mine.

However, I don't trust on Seagate and get a WD Caviar Black.

The seagate 7200.12 is a single platter drive , and so is the samsung f3

For all the reasons that the WD 640 gig was is a great hard drive , the 7200.12 and samsung are better .

My choice of the two would be the samsung , but thats because I still remember the 7200.11 I bought , and because the samsung is quieter

also since you are not in a hurry consider waiting for intels i5 range

cpu's and mbs will be cheaper and so will RAM since it will be dual channel kits

Expect these to be available in less than 4 weeks
