Computer does not see f drive

Is this drive an IDE drive? If it is you have to set the jumper to primary or slave which ever the case may be, also the data cable has the primary connection on the end of the cable and the slave connector is up farther on the cable. If this is a SATA drive there are no jumpers to set but make sure you have the power and data cables hooked up

Follow

1. Click Start, click Run.

2. In the Open box, type regedit and then click OK.

3. The navigation pane, locate and select the following subkey in the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Class \ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

4. In the right pane, click UpperFilters.

Note: You can also view a log entry UpperFilters.bak. You do not want to delete this entry. Click UpperFilters only. If you miss the UpperFilters registry entry, you may still have to remove the registry entry LowerFilters. To do this, go to step 7.

5. On the Edit menu, click Delete.

6. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

7. In the right pane. Click LowerFilters

8. On the Edit menu, click Delete.

9. When asked to confirm the deletion, click Yes.

10. Exit Registry Editor.

11. Restart the computer.
